This multi-family building in Downtown Austin has a mid-century modern design—with an emphasis on the modern. The goal of the art selection in this project was to complement the clean aesthetic while not overpowering the design. This was accomplished with a mix of high-end, custom pieces and local art that gives a nod to the new Austin. The end result created a beautiful balance that added texture and dimension to an already polished design.
“Our copper 'syncopations' sculptures have come a long way from their humble beginnings. They have evolved from simple tabletop objects to restaurant serving pieces, and most recently, as organically composed wall murals. Our collaboration with Mia and her team at met/gal has seen over 200 individual and unique sculptures fabricated by hand and installed in an ever-evolving array.
