CONFIDENTIAL MULTIFAMILY RESIDENCE /
DALLAS, TX

This new-construction, multifamily community in the heart of Dallas needed to manifest a sophisticated, yet youthful environment for its residents. A key way this was accomplished was incorporating a layered art package that balanced the surrounding urban lifestyle while infusing natural elements that aren’t always easily accessible in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

For instance, the gridded, gold-framed gallery wall in the work-from-home lounge brings the surrounding cityscape environment into the design and provides drama using the stark lighting contrast in the black and white photos. This is juxtaposed with several scenic pieces throughout the amenity and common spaces. An example, and also one of the most prominent installations in the collection, is from artist Nic Anette Miller’s depiction of life-size, woodcut crows. Our team utilized the winding corridors in the building to create “aha” moments in places that often read mundane.

To bridge these contrasting themes, met/gal utilized Vincente Weber photographic works that explore the layered duality of both natural and urban landscapes. Utilizing double exposure—made in his 35mm film camera—his work brings a perfect balance to the space.
